The Customer

One of the largest global pharmaceutical companies headquartered in Germany. The company's key areas of interest are respiratory diseases, metabolism, immunology, oncology and diseases of the central nervous system.

Challenges

Huge rework and frequent quality reviews for Patient Information Leaflets (PILs), largely due to inconsistency in typefaces and fonts
Long lead time to create PILs leading to complexity caused by manually assigning the font attributes especially for text-heavy/language-specific leaflets

The Solution

Indegene developed and deployed an in-house automation tool to create PILs in compliance with client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Using our proprietary automation tool, we were able to reduce manual efforts by eliminating line-to-line checking of text components in quality check process with automated comparison. We standardized label fonts, formatting in PILs, and therefore, optimized client’s operational processes related to artwork development.
